Join Us in Supporting #ChildrensHospitalsWeek

To celebrate the amazing things being done at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, we’re inviting you to join us March 18-24 in celebrating #ChildrensHospitalsWeek.

Children’s Hospitals Week allows us the opportunity to talk about the importance of children’s hospitals, and to show how philanthropic support has an impact on the care provided to kids in our community.

Orlando Health Arnold Palmer became a member of CMN Hospitals in September of 1997. Since then more than $25 million has been raised through CMN Hospitals partners like Marriott, Walmart, Publix and RE/MAX, as well as programs like Dance Marathon, Radiothon and Extra Life.

We are fortunate to have incredibly generous partners who give of their time and resources to champion our mission of saving and changing the lives of sick and injured children. Because of the commitment of CMN Hospitals’ partners over the past 22 years, we have been able to renovate and expand units allowing us to serve more patients, invest in life-saving medical equipment, and provide a wide range of services that might not otherwise be possible. Because of their philanthropy, we are able to ensure that our youngest, most fragile patients continue to receive the high level of medical care we believe all patients deserve.

Among the advancements have been the addition of our level 1 Trauma Center for pediatrics – the only one in Central Florida – which was opened with more than $1 Million of funds raised through CMN Hospitals’ partners.

The Heart Center benefitted from more than $1.5 Million of CMN Hospitals’ funds to help build our Pediatric Hybrid Cardiac Catheterization Lab – one of the first in the U.S.

The expansion of our NICU made us the largest NICU in the country under one roof, where we treat more than 1,700 babies each year that require advanced care for weeks or months, in some cases.

Because of their dedication, we can support our Child Life program to make sure our young patients understand and know how to cope with new diagnosis and treatments, in a fun and safe environment. Because of their partnership, we can support the greatest needs of Orlando Health Arnold Palmer each year. We are able to help kids when they need it most.

Over the years, funds raised by CMN partners has purchased all 10 of the Ambulance Transport Units for the hospitals. They are used to transfer critically ill or trauma stricken babies and children from outlying community hospitals to Arnold Palmer Medical Center where they can receive the specialized life-saving care they need.

Most recently, funds were provided to build a new inpatient rehab gym. The new facility will allow the Orlando Health Arnold Palmer rehabilitation team the chance to increase treatment opportunities, improve patient outcomes, and deliver the best in class care that pediatric patients deserve.

Lastly, funds raised through CMN partners have gone to support the neuroscience and fetal surgery programs. Orlando Health Arnold Palmer and Orlando Health Winnie Palmer are now poised to become destination medical facilities for specialized care by being one of only 12 hospitals in the country and the first in Florida to offer in-utero surgery to repair spina bifida.

Charitable support makes these advancements possible, and we are grateful for partners who want to make a difference in the life of a child today, as well as invest in the care for future patients who will need us in years to come.
