Unleashing the Power of Extra Life: Celebrating Extra Life United 2023

The Extra Life community across Central Florida has once again shown its dedication to making a difference in children’s lives by participating in the ninth annual Extra Life United tournament on April 4-6. This year’s event, held at the Orlando World Center Marriott, saw Extra Lifers competing in tournament games, building Minecraft worlds, creating masks and capes, and participating in on-stage games.

The tournament featured a $150,000 USD prize pool with winnings going to the winners’ selected member hospital of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. With 166 Extra Lifers winning prize money benefiting their member hospital, eight of which represented Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, a total of 67 member hospitals benefited from the funds raised at Extra Life United.

Congratulations to the tournament game winners, including MerchGuySteve who dominated in SpiderHeck, Ultimate Chicken Horse, and WindJammers 2. ZaBackinBlack proved to be a master of Liar’s Dice and Bop-it, while ThatsHowUFRolls took home big winnings in CATAN and Sushi GO! Other notable winners include A1phaChino, virus elite524, IndigoGhost, BereskingIrish, Ric601, and Talos Deschain.

We are grateful for our participants who came to support Orlando Health Arnold Palmer at Extra Life United. From students, faculty and staff of Full Sail University, our Rooster Teeth Florida Community, individual Extra Lifers, and more, thank you for changing kids’ health to change the future. This year’s Extra Life United event was a huge success, and it’s all thanks to the dedication and support of the Extra Life community across Central Florida.

If you are interested in getting involved, be sure to join us this summer to celebrate Tabletop Appreciation Weekend on August 19-21, and Game Day on November 4 (or any day that works for you!).
