Marriott Celebrates National Root Beer Float Day
Throughout the month of August, our friends at Marriott and Marriott Vacation Club celebrated Root Beer Float Day in support of Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, a member of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Across Central Florida, properties set up root beer stands that served delicious treats to associates and guests. During the celebration, guests were encouraged to make a donation of their choice in support of the patients treated at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer.
Marriott’s tradition to celebrate National Root Beer Float Day with their guests and associates dates to 1927, when Williams and Alice S. Marriott launched their 9- seat A&W Root Beer Stand in Washington, D.C. Their business principle was to always provide good service and great food, which allowed their business to shift in 1957 to the hotel industry where they are now one of the leading brands.
We are grateful for Marriott’s spirit to serve and their dedication to support local families in our community. Thank you to all the Marriott and Marriott Vacation Club teams across Central Florida that joined the fun and celebration this month!
