IHOP Sweetens February at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer with Pancakes For The Kids

This February, local IHOP team members arrived at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children with their portable griddles, pancake batter, and all the fun sweets needed to host a Valentine’s Day Pancake Party for patients and families.

Hundreds of buttermilk pancakes were served – some were even heart shaped by request – and topped with colorful pink, white and red sprinkles.

While enjoying IHOP’s delicious buttermilk pancakes, patients and family members also enjoyed fun crafts and making cards for a special someone in their life.

IHOP also wanted to ensure that patients and families who could not join them for the child life party downstairs were included in the celebration. IHOP team members filled custom orders from patients and made special deliveries to patient rooms so everyone could enjoy a delicious start to their morning.

The IHOP team even had a surprise celebrity chef appearance – Cary D’Ortona, President of Orlando Health Arnold Palmer!

Donning an official IHOP apron, Cary came to learn the tips and tricks of cooking and flipping the perfect  pancake.

We are grateful for IHOP’s culture of giving and their willingness to make a difference in our community! Now through February 25 you can join IHOP Restaurants in their efforts to support Orlando Heath Arnold Palmer. Guests who donate $5 or more in a participating restaurant will receive a coupon for $5 off their next visit.

And be sure to mark your calendars to celebrate National Pancake Day at IHOP on Tuesday, February 25! IHOP will serve one free short stack of their original buttermilk pancakes to every guest, in exchange for a voluntary donation to Orlando Health Arnold Palmer.
