CroomsCon 2025 Raises the Bar for Student-Led Gaming Events
On March 14, 2025, the halls of Crooms Academy of Information Technology transformed into a buzzing hub of energy, enthusiasm and esports. The annual CroomsCon gaming festival returned bigger and better than ever – welcoming hundreds of students, gamers, volunteers and community members for a full day of fun and fundraising.
From 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, attendees enjoyed gaming tournaments, free play zones, food, music and more – all while supporting the mission of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and families of the Crooms community. Proceeds from the event benefited Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children through Extra Life, a program of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
Powered by Passion and Purpose
CroomsCon 2025 featured a diverse lineup of gaming experiences. From fierce Super Smash Bros. matches and tactical Valorant showdowns to Mario Kart races filled with laughter and competition, there was something for every kind of gamer. Free-play setups gave attendees the chance to try new games, connect with friends and make new ones.
Fueling the fun was an all-you-can-eat selection of pizza, burgers, fries and snacks available throughout the day. Local sponsors stepped up helping to provide food, drinks, prizes and even volunteer time – proving once again that gaming is a powerful tool for bringing communities together.

Impact That Matters
As CroomsCon reached the incredible milestone of 15 years since inception, the event has contributed over $70,000 directly to Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. Every dollar helps provide the compassionate care to children and families in Central Florida everyone deserves.
The students behind CroomsCon once again partnered with Extra Life, a national fundraising movement that unites gamers to support their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. CroomsCon serves as a shining example of how young people can turn their passions into purpose and make a real difference in their communities.
Students Lead the Way
What makes CroomsCon special isn’t just the games—it’s the leadership behind the screens. Organized by campus student leaders, the event offers hands-on experience in project management, marketing, logistics, customer service, and fundraising. Programs like CroomsCon Heroes invited attendees to lend gaming equipment for the event in exchange for early access and extra raffle perks, ensuring student ownership and sustainability from start to finish.
Thank you, Crooms Academy of Information Technology and CroomsCon 2025 for another incredible year impacting the lives of children and families in our community.
