25 Years of Caring for Kids
Marriott Vacations Worldwide Celebrates 25th Annual Caring Classic Golf Tournament
Since its inception, the Caring Classic golf tournament has raised over $3 million to support pediatric programs and services at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children as well as the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies.
Marriott Vacations Worldwide held its 25th annual Caring Classic golf tournament in September, bringing business partners and associates together to share in a fun day of golf in support of the Orlando Health Children’s Pavilion.
A full field of golfers, many of whom have been part of this annual tradition for years came out to support children and families in our community. Participants took part in several fun activities on the course and heard from the Murillo family who shared their story and the impact the tournament has had on their son Myles who was born on that day 11 years ago. Attendees surprised Myles by singing “Happy Birthday” and presented him with a superhero cake, a memory that will stay with his family for a lifetime.
“We’re incredibly proud of our partnership with the Orlando Health Foundation and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. It is a privilege to continue to make a critical impact on the lives of sick children and their families,” said John Geller, President and Chief Executive Officer of Marriott Vacations Worldwide. “We are deeply grateful to all associates, participants, partners and supporters who have helped make this milestone possible, and we look forward to many more years of driving change and hope together.”
