Central Florida Dance Marathons Celebrate Child Health Day

Child Health Day is a United States Federal Observance Day observed each year on the first Monday in October. The day focuses on a range of child health issues such as prenatal care, adolescent health, the impact of daycare on a child’s development, preventing injuries, healthy eating and lifestyle choices, and immunization. This year, Child Health Day takes place on Monday, October 4 and our Central Florida Dance Marathon programs are rallying together to help raise funds, awareness and spread the word to their campuses on how to get involved to change kids’ health and change the future.

Programs are activating in three main ways on Child Health Day: spread awareness, asking others to join their movement or fundraise. Through these different initiatives, the main goal in celebrating Child Health Day is to advocate for every child in need of healthcare across Central Florida. If you would like to support our collegiate Dance Marathon programs, you can follow along on their individual social channels during the day.
